Placing Orders

The Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the ordering of NOCTI assessments through the Client Services Center.  Following the steps below will ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.

  1. Meet with instructors in advance to determine the titles to be administered.
  2. Identify an accurate count of assessments needed for each title; this number is important when placing an order because NOCTI customizes each order to meet your specific needs.
  3. Only order the quantity needed.  Online assessments are not eligible for return for credit.  Returns for paper/pencil assessments are allowed but handling charges apply.  Refer to the Return Policy for specific details.
  4. Abide by the order timelines to avoid rush fees or expedited shipping charges.
  5. Verify purchase orders include any rush fees or expedited shipping charges, if applicable, to avoid order processing delays.
  6. Download and read NOCTI’s Return Policy, available in the Resources section of the Client Services Center.
Timelines

When the order is filled, the Site Coordinator will receive email notification that online user codes available at the Client Services Center. 

In order to ensure that assessment materials for paper/pencil and/or skill-based test administrations are received in a timely manner, NOCTI requires that sites adhere to the following schedule for placing orders:

Orders placed with less than the required lead time will be subject to rush processing fees.

NOCTI will typically ship paper/pencil knowledge-based assessment and/or skill-based assessment orders with scheduled test dates between January 1 and June 30 to arrive at the administration site at least two weeks prior to the scheduled assessment session date. Orders with assessment sessions scheduled between July 1 and December 31 will be processed in the order in which they are received.

UPS GroundTrac shipping will be used unless other shipment methods are requested (additional charges will apply for expedited shipping). NOCTI’s shipping system will generate a notification email to the Site Coordinator at the time the order is shipped. This email will provide the date the order was shipped, estimated date of arrival, and a tracking number. 

Online user codes for post-tests are valid until the end of the current school year (June 30).  Pre-test user code expiration dates are set based on the Pre-test Policy guidelines.  Pre-test Policy

Billing

The cost of the assessments includes the user codes or assessment booklets (paper/pencil administration), skill-based test booklets and evaluator guides, if purchased, answer sheets for paper/pencil administration, and any supplemental books or media included as part of the assessment package, along with the comprehensive standard scoring package. Customers are invoiced at the time the order is fulfilled.
