NOCTI understands that testing needs can change and that sites may occasionally have extra testing materials. This policy explains when paper/pencil assessments may be returned for credit.
Items Not Eligible for Return Credit
Credit is not available for:
- Online assessments, including knowledge-based written and/or skill-based performance assessments
- Study guides, including digital and paper/pencil formats
- Remote proctoring services
Credit on Account
Approved returns will result in a credit on the customer’s account.
- Credits are valid until June 30 of the school year following the year the credit was issued. For example, a credit issued in March 2026 will be available for use through June 30, 2027.
- Credits are automatically applied to orders submitted after the credit is made available.
Return Requirements
To be considered for credit, all returns must meet the following requirements:
- A completed Return for Credit Form must be included.
- Only unopened, unused test booklets will be accepted.
- An equal quantity of unused answer sheets must be returned with the test booklets.
- Tests purchased as a set, including both knowledge-based written and skill-based performance components, must be returned as a complete set. Partial credit is not available for returning only one component.
- Unused Evaluator Guides and any supplemental booklets provided with the skill-based performance component must be included, when applicable.
- Materials must be returned within 180 days of purchase, based on the invoice date.
- Credit will not be issued for products purchased more than 180 days before the return request.
- Rush fees, expedited shipping charges, extra Evaluator Guides, and other fees are not eligible for credit.
Credit will not be issued if these conditions are not met.
Handling Fees
All returns are subject to the following handling fees:
- Paper/pencil knowledge-based written test booklets: $7.00 per test booklet
- Paper/pencil skill-based performance test booklets: $7.00 per test booklet
- Paper/pencil knowledge-based written and skill-based performance test booklets purchased as a set: $14.00 per set
