NOCTI recognizes that circumstances may result in an excess of testing materials. Therefore, in accordance with this returns policy, credit (less handling fees specified below) will be granted for the return of paper/pencil assessments as outlined in this policy. Returns for credit are allowed ONLY for assessments ordered for paper/pencil administration.

Returns for credit are NOT allowed for:

  • Online assessments (knowledge-based and/or skill-based)
  • Study guides (digital or paper/pencil)
  • Remote proctoring services
All returns result in credit on account; refunds are not issued.

  • Credits on account are valid until June 30 of the school year following the year the credit was issued.  For example, a credit issued in March of 2025 will be available for use through June 30, 2026. 
  • Credits on account are automatically applied to orders submitted after the credit is made available.
  • All returns are subject to the handling fees listed below.

Credit may be granted for the return of paper/pencil assessments as outlined below:

  • All returns must be accompanied by a completed Request for Return for Credit form. 
  • Only unopened, unused, test booklets accompanied by equal quantity of unused answer sheets will be accepted for return.
  • Tests purchased as a set (both knowledge-based and skill-based components) must be returned as a set; partial credit for return of one component is not allowed.
  • Unused Evaluator Guides and any supplemental booklets provided with the skill-based component must be included with test returns.
  • Unopened test booklets and accompanying answer sheets must be returned within 180 days of purchase (based on invoice date).  No credit will be given for products purchased more than 180 days prior to the request for return. 
  • Rush fees and expedited shipping charges, or any other fees (e.g., extra evaluator guides) will not be credited.
No credit will be given if the above conditions are not met.

All returns are subject to a handling fee as listed below:

  • Paper/pencil knowledge-based test booklets - $7.00 per test booklet
  • Paper/pencil skill-based test booklets - $7.00 per test booklet
  • Paper/pencil knowledge- and skill-based test booklets (when purchased as a set) - $14.00 per set
All returns must include unused answer sheets and skill-based evaluator guides, if applicable.
