Shipping Materials to NOCTI for Scoring
Answer sheets for paper/pencil assessments must be filled out and bubbled completely and accurately. Incomplete or inaccurate information on answer sheets will cause scoring delays and may incur fees for corrections.
Verify the following information is filled out and bubbled accurately on each answer sheet submitted for scoring:
- Participant name (last, first, MI)
- Participant ID (must be unique to the individual)
- Test Code
- Test Version
- Site Code
- Demographic Code
- Title of Assessment
Coordinator Cover Sheets are required when returning answer sheets to NOCTI for scoring. It is important to include ALL information on the coordinator cover sheet to ensure timely and accurate score processing.
Include the following when shipping materials to NOCTI for score processing:
- Coordinator’s cover sheet
- Completed answer sheets
- Comment sheets, if appropriate
Do not include:
- Unused test booklets or answer sheets
- Scrap papers or test participant performance projects
- Any other items
Ship the answer sheets directly to NOCTI, 500 North Bronson, Big Rapids, Michigan 49307, via a service that can be tracked. In order to track delayed or missing packages, shipping receipts should be retained until answer sheets are received by NOCTI. Answer sheets must be packaged and shipped separately from materials being returned for credit.
Releasing Online User Codes for Score Processing
A preliminary score report is provided when each test participant completes an online knowledge-based assessment. The preliminary total score will be displayed in the Client Services Center.
Upon completion, for both knowledge- and skill-based components, online assessment user codes must be released to NOCTI for official score processing. User codes are released from the Client Services Center.
Destroying Used Materials
ATCs are responsible for the disposition of assessment booklets and related materials in such a way that they cannot be retrieved unless other requirements apply for your state/organization.
Handling Unused Materials
Unused assessments can be returned for credit ONLY if the booklet is unopened (sealed), accompanied by an unused answer sheet, and within 180 days of purchase. Handling charges apply for all returns so be careful to order the exact number of tests that you need. All returns must include a Request for Return for Credit form, downloadable from the Client Services Center. Once the materials have been returned and verified, a credit will be placed on your account. The complete Return Policy is available for download on the Client Services Center.
