This returns policy applies only to purchases made by authorized Area Test Centers (ATCs) for teacher testing. 
 
NOCTI recognizes that circumstances may result in excess of teacher testing materials. In accordance with this returns policy, credit (less applicable handling fees) may be issued for eligible returned assessments. 
 
All test returns must include a completed Request for Return for Credit form. All required information (e.g., site code, invoice number) must be provided to process the return. All approved returns result in a credit on account; refunds are not issued. Returns are NOT permitted for remote proctoring services or other non-assessment products (e.g., study guides). 
  • Credits on account are valid until June 30 of the year following issuance.  For example, a credit issued in March 2025 is valid through June 30, 2026.  
  • Credits are automatically applied to future orders once available. 
  • All returns are subject to the handling fees listed below. 
Online Knowledge-Based Written and Skill-Based Performance Test Returns 
Credit for unused online testing user codes for teacher testing, both knowledge-based written and skill-based performance, will be issued when the following conditions are met:  
  • User codes are listed on the Request for Return for Credit form. 
  • User codes are unused and valid (expired user codes are not eligible). 
  • Unopened, unused skill-based performance testing materials, including evaluator guides, are returned to NOCTI prior to processing credit. 
  • Returned user codes will be removed from the Client Services Center. 
  • No credit will be issued for expired user codes. 
Paper/Pencil Knowledge-Based Written and Skill-Based Performance Test Returns 
Credit for unused paper/pencil test booklets for teacher testing, both knowledge-based written and skill-based performance, will be issued when the following conditions are met:  
  • Only unopened, unused, test booklets accompanied by unused answer sheets are eligible. 
  • Test booklets, evaluator guides (if applicable), and unused answer sheets must be returned to NOCTI prior to processing credit  
  • Materials must be returned within 180 days of purchase.  
  • Shipping charges are not eligible for credit.  
Handling Fees 
All approved returns are subject to the following handling fees: 
  • Online user codes (knowledge-based written tests): $5.00 per user code 
  • Online user codes and materials (skill-based performance tests): $7.00 per user code/booklet 
  • Paper/pencil test booklets (knowledge-based written or skill-based performance): $7.00 per booklet  
  • All returns must include unused answer sheets and skill-based evaluator guides, if applicable.
