As part of the standard assessment package, NOCTI provides a comprehensive report of the participant results. The standard scoring package for post-tests includes a group report, analysis of scores, individual score reports for both the knowledge-based and skill-based portions of the assessment, and competency level reports for both the group and individual participants.   Score report packages for pre-testing do not include the analysis of scores. Score reports are provided electronically at the Client Services Center.

All reports can be exported to Excel.  In addition, NOCTI provides numerous extracts and summary reports, such as:

  • Extracts by test level (pre or post), with or without standard/job level scores
  • Competency-level summary report

A Score Interpretation Quickview is available at the Client Services Center.  This one-page summary is provided to help you interpret the scoring information and is useful for presenting scoring information to others including administrators, teachers, parents and students.

Reports Package

The standard score report package for post-tests includes the following reports:

  • Group Score Report: This report gives total and standard scores for each participant based on the testing group.
  • Analysis of Scores: This report provides data on how the scores compare to group, state, and national averages, for total score and each standard, for the testing group.
  • Individual Scores: This report displays the individual's scores and the group averages for testing group, site, state, and nation, for each standard and the total score.  If the individual took a pre-test, the pre-test scores are displayed as well as the percent change of score from pre- to post-test.
  • Competency Report: This report provides scoring data at the competency level at the individual and group level.
In addition to the standard scoring package, data extract and summary reports are also available through the Client Services Center.

Turnaround Time

Score reports for online administrations are available two business days from the date the user codes are released from the Client Services Center.  A notification email is sent to the Site Coordinator when the score reports are available at the Client Services Center.

Score reports for paper/pencil administrations are available at the Client Services Center within a few days after receipt of answer sheets at NOCTI, and typically no later than two weeks (10 business days) from the date the answer sheets are received at NOCTI, providing that correctly completed answer sheets have been submitted.  Answer sheets that cannot be scored may be returned to the Site Coordinator for completion/correction and additional fees may be charged for NOCTI to make corrections.

Recognition

Certificates, college credit recommendation reports, and digital badges may be awarded based on individual scores for eligible tests.  Certificates and the college credit recommendation reports are accessed through the Client Services Center; teachers will also have access to these in the Teacher Resource Center if the Site Coordinator releases student scores to the teacher's group.  Digital badges are awarded to the individual and are accessed through NOCTI's SkillBadge Locker.
