Release Scores for Processing

Once all knowledge-based administrations are complete, and skill-based ratings are entered (if appropriate), the Site Coordinator must release the user codes for score processing. When using the online system for inputting skill-based assessment ratings, the Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the skill-based ratings are accurately and completely entered for each test taker.  The Client Services Center offers a grouping option (e.g., group by teachers) for Site Coordinators as part of the release process. Detailed grouping instructions are provided in the Client Services Center.

Official score reports will be generated when the user codes have been released from the Client Services Center and processed through NOCTI's scoring system.  This typically takes two business days to complete.

For paper/pencil testing, the Site Coordinator is responsible for verifying that answer sheets are prepared completely and accurately for score processing before returning them to NOCTI.  Incomplete or inaccurate information will cause score processing delays and may incur service fees for corrections. Official score reports for paper/pencil assessments are generated after the answer sheets have been received at NOCTI, have been scanned, and then processed through NOCTI's scoring system.  This typically takes up to two weeks to complete.

Distribute Score Information

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the dissemination of participant scores and related materials (e.g., certificates).  Interpretation information on score reports is available in the Score Interpretation Quickview available for download from the Client Services Center.

Certificates

Learners demonstrate their readiness for the workforce by earning NOCTI/NBS Certification—an independent, industry-driven credential that verifies essential knowledge and skills. Certification is awarded to individuals who meet or exceed the industry-established benchmark on a current NOCTI/NBS assessment, signaling verified to educators, employers, and workforce partners.

Some NOCTI credentials are eligible for college credit if the benchmark has been met.  College credit reports can be printed from the Client Services Center.

Digital Badges

Digital badges capitalize on technology and offer a means for learners to display and validate individual achievements.  NOCTI digital badge awards require learners to provide an email address when logging into the online testing system.  The Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring eligible learners have provided an accurate email address.  Email addresses can be corrected or added for badge awardees through the Client Services Center.
