The Site Coordinator should schedule a meeting with proctors prior to test administration to help ensure everyone is prepared and aligned. This meeting provides dedicated time to review required guides and procedures and to ask questions before test day. Proctors should be given adequate time to review NOCTI’s Proctor Guides in advance so they understand all policies, procedures, and expectations.

Training sessions for all assigned proctors should be scheduled well ahead of the assessment window. These sessions support consistency, security, and smooth administration by:
  • Explaining the purpose and goals of the assessment program
  • Reviewing the administration schedule and key timelines
  • Clearly outlining proctor responsibilities using the NOCTI Proctor Guide
  • Providing guidance on the proper handling and secure disposal of testing materials
NOCTI Proctoring Support Tools
NOCTI provides a variety of resources to support proctors in delivering assessments efficiently and accurately. These tools are designed to promote consistency and confidence across test sites and include:
  • Proctor Training PowerPoint ready-to-use slides that guide proctors through each step of the assessment process
  • Informational video (below) that walks through procedures, best practices, and key responsibilities.
These resources are designed to save time, reduce confusion, and support a consistent test experience. By providing clear, accessible guidance, NOCTI helps both new and experienced proctors feel prepared and supported.
