Effective 7/31/2018, NOCTI instituted authorized testing windows based on time zone and testing activity. Testing windows apply to NOCTI credentials and those of our partners that require a proctored testing environment.
Why is this important?
NOCTI continuously monitors industry trends and standards to assure we offer our clients an optimal system experience when using Quad Net. Closing the gap on system access with authorized testing windows ensures the integrity of NOCTI credentials, increases online test security, and prohibits access to testing during unauthorized times.
How does it work?
When a new account is set up, the Site Coordinator will be asked to verify the time zone for their site(s). The testing window for the site(s) will be set based on the time zone selection and the type of testing administered.
How is my testing window determined?
Authorized testing windows are determined by NOCTI based on the type of test administrations for each site. The testing window restricts the times during which online tests can be accessed. For example, if the testing window is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the ability to login to online testing will begin at 7:00 a.m. and continue up until 3:00 p.m. Testing can continue after 3:00 p.m. as long as the session remains uninterrupted.
Policy Exceptions
How do I request an exception to my assigned testing window?
Exceptions for testing window times may be requested from NOCTI; each exception request will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Common allowed exceptions include: (a) programs, (b) weekend courses, or (c) extended class hours.
Exception requests should be emailed to nocti@nocti.org. Please include the organization name, NOCTI site code, and the reason for the request.
