Score report grouping defaults to the actual date the test was administered. For multiple-session tests, the report grouping defaults to the date the test was started (first session). NOCTI provides the ability to create groups to ensure test takers are displayed on score reports according to the preference of your site. Create groups prior to releasing user codes for official score report processing to assist with the following:
- Connecting students to their teacher to enable score report access for the teacher
- Separating classes (e.g., morning/afternoon classes)
- Including tests administered on multiple dates
- Calculating group averages
Use the Manage Teachers feature to add teacher names and link them to the group. Groups can be created as soon as your user codes are available in the Client Services Center.
Create New Group
- Click on the Create New Group button.
- Insert a Group name (required) and Description (optional).
- If you have added teachers through Manage Teachers, click in the Select a Teacher box and select a teacher for this group from the drop down.
- Click in the Select a Test box to select the test for this group.
- Save your selections by clicking on Save.
Delete/Edit Groups
Group information can be edited by using the Edit button up until you have released user codes to the group. Once the group has been used (scoring has been released to the group), you cannot edit the group.
A group may be deleted if it has not been used (no scoring has been released to the group).
Search
Use the Search feature to search for a specific group or groups. Type a name, a test title, a teacher name, or any word from a description in the Search box to filter your list of groups.
Notes
- You cannot create a group until you have user codes available in the Client Services Center.
- User codes can only be grouped within a test code. You cannot mix test codes within a testing group. Education level (secondary or post-secondary) and test type (pre-test or post-test) cannot be mixed within a group. The scoring process at NOCTI will automatically separate the scores based on the test code, education level, and test type designations.
- Do not put the same test taker into a group more than one time. As an example, if a student takes a test more than one time (e.g., multiple pre-tests, retakes), do not put both tests in the same group.
- Groups expire at the end of the school year (6/30/xxxx) and will need to be re-created for the next school year.
